Wednesday Folders 10/1/08

This week in the Wednesday folders, please be on the lookout for Scholastic book orders due on 10/7/08 (the past book order is in. The students have the books on their desks, thanks for ordering online!), a science safety contract that needs to be signed by a parent and the student, and a letter from Writers in the Schools (WITS). WITS is a wonderful program that our PTO pays for and we have a specialized writer who comes to our room every week for one hour to work with the students and their writing. It is so much fun and at the end of the school year the students put together an anthology and you will be invited to hear all the students read one of their creative works.

Also on Wednesday, progress reports are coming home. There are more social studies and math grades, than science. Don't worry, we are working on science right now, so there will be more grades before the end of the nine weeks. Usually I will have between 6-7 grades for science.
